Attribution Tracking
Know exactly where your customers are coming from. This feature tracks "UTM parameters" (the tracking codes at the end of URLs) and saves them with your orders.
1. Order Attribution
- Enable custom attribution: Turn this on to automatically track where a customer came from (e.g., "Facebook Ad", "Google Search", "Email Newsletter").
- How it works: When a customer places an order, this information will appear in the "Notes" or "Attributes" section of the order in your Shopify admin.
2. Inquiry Attribution
- Enable contact form UTM tracking: Turn this on to track where people who send you messages came from.
- How it works: When someone fills out a contact form, the email you receive will include their traffic source (e.g., "Source: Instagram").
