Header
The Header is the top part of your website that contains your logo, menu, and cart. It's the most important navigation tool for your customers.
Choosing Your Header Style
Synergify gives you two main options:
- Standard Header: Clean, simple, and works for most stores.
- Advanced Header: Best if you want a transparent background over your slideshow or more complex layouts.
How to Configure the Header
1. Access Header Settings
- In the Theme Editor, look for Header in the left sidebar (it's usually pinned at the top).
- Click on it to open the settings.
2. Upload Your Logo
- Find the Logo image setting.
- Click Select image and upload your brand logo.
- Logo width: Use the slider to adjust how big the logo appears.
3. Set Up the Menu
- Find the Menu setting.
- Click Change > Change menu to select the navigation menu you created in your Shopify Admin.
- Mega Menu: To create a large dropdown menu with images, you usually need to nest your menu items in the Shopify Admin and enable "Mega Menu" in the theme settings.
4. Sticky Header
Do you want the header to follow the user as they scroll down?
- Enable Sticky Header: Check this box in the settings.
- On scroll up: Only show the header when the user scrolls back up (saves screen space).
Advanced Header Features
Transparent Header
If you want your header to sit on top of your homepage slideshow (like Apple's website):
- Use the Advanced Header section.
- Enable Transparent background.
- Important: Make sure your logo is visible against your slideshow images (e.g., use a white logo for dark images).
Custom Menu Bar
If you have too many categories for one menu, add a Custom Menu Bar.
- Click Add section below the Header.
- Search for Custom Menu Bar.
- This creates a second row of links, perfect for "New In", "Sale", "Brands", etc.
